Commitment....so liberating!

Anne Morriss, a Starbucks customer from New York City who describes herself as an organization builder, restless American citizen, and an optimist has this to say "The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating...in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life."

Life changes

Changing...ever changing

Yesterday is not the same as today, and tomorrow will be different, as well. That's the way it is and that is what keeps life interesting as well as challenging. Sigmund Freud stated "It is the eternal changefulness of life that makes it so beautiful." Meeting each day with anticipation and wonder keeps us living and alive. Enjoy.

Today is Joyful

God, give me sympathy and sense, and help me keep my courage high; give me calm and confidence and, please, a twinkle in my eye.

Experience......mistake

Oscar Wilde once wrote "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes." Big or small, our mistakes do help us grow if we take the time to observe what happened and make adjustments for action we may take in the future. Twice or thrice the same mistake.....we haven't learned much. With an educated experience behind us, we can move in a better direction next time.

To be little..

"To belittle is to be little." This quote was recently seen on a sign outside a local church. Wouldn't it be nice if the national news media read this? Politicians? The incivility lately by these "talkers' or "screamers" leaves so much to be desired. Just how little can they really get? Maturity and common sense would be welcome! America deserves better.

Are You Interested?

Douglas MacArthur once said "Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul." Whatever age you may be, stay interested in something. Study it. Devour it. Act on it. Keep that interest alive and you will grow. Mornings will be brighter; evenings more restful. Your world will be alive with purpose and progress.
